LAFRW meeting Thursday
The LAFRW March meeting will be held at
7 p.m. Thursday at the home of Cathy Walters, 4112 Ridgeway Drive.
Rep.Jeannette Wallace will be the speaker. Parking is limited to one side of the street, so carpooling is encouraged. Iditarod talk Thursday
Kent Pegg, a former Iditarod racer, will give a talk about the 2010 Iditarod race starting at noon at the Betty Ehart Senior Center’s great room Thursday. The race, which will begin Saturday, goes from Anchorage to Nome, Alaska. Pegg will bring photos and equipment for the dog team. Call the Senior Center at 662-8922 to make luncheon reservations. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m.
LAGA meeting Thursday
The Los Alamos Genealogical Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 3 of the Mesa Public Library. The theme of this meeting will be “Shady and Eccentric Ancestors.” The public is invited. For further information, call Jodie Frye at 662-3381.
