LAMC launches CEO search
National Division President Don Bivacca of Los Alamos Medical Center’s parent company LifePoint has announced CE0 Sandy Podley has left LAMC. She has accepted a position as CEO of Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
A search is underway to find a new CEO for LAMC, Bivacca said in a news release. Ruth McDaniel will serve as interim CEO until a permanent CEO is named.
Podley served as LAMC CEO from November 2006 through Jan. 11.

Atomic City Children’s Theater will perform “Willie Wonka Jr.” at
7:30 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday at the Duane Smith Auditorium. The performance is free and open to the public.
Hilltalkers waffle dinner
The Los Alamos Hilltalkers Speech and Debate team will hold its first Waffle Dinner in the Los Alamos High School cafeteria. The dinner will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday. The price of the dinner is $5 for adults and $3 for children younger than age 10. The dinner is being held to raise money for the Hilltalkers travel expenses to the state tournament in Hobbs in March.
Lenten fish fry dinner
The Immaculate Heart of Mary Youth is hosting a Lenten fish fry dinner from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the IHM parish hall,
3700 Canyon Road. Besides the traditional fish, dinners will include coleslaw, rice pilaf, desserts and drinks. Tickets can be purchased from the IHM youth office by calling 661-8303 or at the door for $10 for an adult plate (two pieces of fish) or $5 for a child plate (one piece of fish). Raffle tickets to win Easter-themed baskets will be on sale at all the fish fry dinners. The proceeds from the dinners will benefit Our Little Brothers and Sisters Orphanage in Honduras, Haitian earthquake relief through OLBS in Haiti and the World Youth Day pilgrimage to Madrid, Spain.
