American Legion meeting

  The American Legion Riders will have a membership meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight at American Legion Post 90. For more information, call Dave at 505-500-5356.

LASE Network meeting

  Energy tops the list of topics to be discussed when Representative Ben Ray Luján addresses a meeting of the Los Alamos Sustainable Energy Network from 5:30–6:30 p.m. tonight at the Pajarito Environmental Education Center at 3540 Orange St.  

“The Sleeping Beauty”

  The New Mexico Dance Theater Performance Company, directed by Susan Baker-Dillingham, will present “The Sleeping Beauty” at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Duane W. Smith auditorium. Advanced tickets are available now at Uli’s Cottontails, or at the door 45 minutes prior to performance times and are: $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, and children age 4 and younger are free. “Let’s Celebrate”

  The Art Center at Fuller Lodge will host the opening reception for “Let’s Celebrate!” from 5-7 p.m. Friday.

Family Friendly Film Series

  The White Rock Family Friendly Film Series screens “The Secret of the Magic Gourd” at 7 p.m. Friday in the White Rock Town Hall.

Lenten fish fry

  The Immaculate Heart of Mary Youth is hosting a Lenten fish fry dinner from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the IHM parish hall, 3700 Canyon Road.  Besides the traditional fish, dinners will include coleslaw, rice pilaf, desserts and drinks. Tickets can be purchased from the IHM youth office by calling 661-8303 or at the door for $10 for an adult plate (two pieces of fish) or $5 for a child plate (one piece of fish).

    Raffle tickets to win beautiful themed Easter baskets will be for sale at all the fish fry dinners. The proceeds from the dinners will benefit Our Little Brothers and Sisters Orphanage in Honduras, Haitian earthquake relief through OLBS in Haiti and the World Youth Day pilgrimage to Madrid, Spain.
