Big MAC ice skating party tonight
Big MAC, the Middle School Activities Committee, with the Recreation Division are hosting its annual Ice Skating Party for middle school youth only. It will be held from 7 – 10 p.m. tonight. The fee is $6.50, which includes skates. No skate passes, please. Big MAC is sponsored by the Youth Activity Center, a program of the Los Alamos Family Council.
“Twelve Angry Men” tonight
Los Alamos Little Theater presents “Twelve Angry Men” at 8 p.m. tonight at the theater. A performance will also be held at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for seniors and students.

’Topper Review will be held at 7 p.m. tonight and at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Duane Smith Auditorium.

Join in on some astronomy fun
The community is invited to join educators for a morning of astronomy fun from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Bradbury Science Museum. Students will assemble their own telescopes and learn how telescopes are designed. Students will be shown how to use their telescope and what they might expect to see, as well as what they will not be able to see. They will also hear about Galileo’s discoveries. 8th Grade Night
Los Alamos High School will have an “8th Grade Night” from 6:30-8 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Duane Smith Auditorium. It is time for next year’s ninth-graders and their families to get acquainted with the high school. There will be teachers and high school students available to answer questions regarding academics and activities.
Chapter BC, P.E.O. meeting
Chapter BC, P.E.O. will hold a regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 2 at the home of Sue Friar, 493 Brighton Drive in White Rock. Joan Salzman will serve as co-hostess. The program will include the President’s Letter plus three brief updates on P.E.O. educational projects.
