Police Beat

A trailer and its contents worth an estimated $20,000 combined and an ATV with a trailer estimated at $8,400 were stolen this week. See Page 2 for the full report.

‘Topper/’Devil tickets on sale Friday

  Tickets for the Los Alamos-Española Valley boys basketball game, which will be played at Griffith Gymnasium, will go on sale at 2 p.m. Friday.

  The varsity game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Friday. Those interested in seeing the game are encouraged to be at Griffith Gym by 4 p.m. for the start of the C team game.

  Los Alamos High School announced that it will sell 2,500 tickets for Friday’s game. After gymnasium capacity of 2,500 is reached, no one else will be allowed to enter.

  Ticket-buyers will be limited to 10 tickets per person.

  Prices are $5 for adults, $3 for students. LAHS season passes will be accepted for Friday’s game.

NJROTC rib night

  Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps will host a rib night from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Posse Lodge. The menu includes pork ribs, corn on the cob, potato salad, baked beans, dinner and a drink. The fee is $10 and proceeds will benefit the NJROTC’s activities.

Guitars and Gateaux

  Los Alamos Arts Council’s Guitars and Gateaux series will present The Albuquerque Honor Quartet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Fuller Lodge. Music begins at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for council members and $15 for non-members.

Ice skating party

   Big MAC, the Middle School Activities Committee, with the Recreation Division are hosting its annual Ice Skating Party for middle school youth only. It will be held from 7 – 10 p.m. Friday. The fee is $6.50, which includes skates. No skate passes, please. Big MAC is sponsored by the Youth Activity Center, a program of the Los Alamos Family Council.
