JJAB meeting

  The Juvenile Justice Advisory Board (JJAB) will meet at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday in the LAPS Board Room at 751 Trinity, Los Alamos.  

R.A.M. elections

  Los Alamos Chapter #20, R.A.M., will hold its election of officers for the coming year at its regular monthly communication at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Masonic Temple, located at the corner of Canyon Road and 15th Street. For additional information, contact Tony Biebel at 672-9856.

Republican party meeting

  The Republican Party of Los Alamos County will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hilltop House third floor meeting room. Candidates scheduled to speak are Jim Jackson and Errol Chavez, both candidates for New Mexico Commissioner of Public Lands; Tom Mullins, candidate for third District U.S. House of Representatives and John Sanchez, candidate for Lt. UNM-LA fundraiser

  A fundraiser for the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos will be held from 4:30 p.m. Thursday until closing at Central Avenue Grill. The restaurant will contribute 20 percent of the evening’s take in the dining room to the UNM-LA Director’s Discretionary Fund.

Hotel to host fundraiser  

  The Hilltop House will host a benefit from 5-

7 p.m. Friday that will feature a silent auction along with appetizers, music and dancing. Proceeds go to Partners in Health for Haitian Quake relief. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
