Police Beat update

  The theft of skis and poles, vehicle vandalism, business burglaries and a couple of shopliftings are among the crimes reported in this week’s Police Beat. See page 2 for the complete report.

Lecture tonight

  Los Alamos Historical Society Lecture Series will present Alan Osborne, “New Mexico’s Colorful Past” at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Fuller Lodge.

Brown Bag performance

  Los Alamos Arts Council’s Brown Bag Performance Series will feature soprano Viera Moore and musicians David Moore and Cindy Little at

12:30 p.m.  Wednesday at Fuller Lodge.

Watch “G Force” Thursday

  The White Rock Family Film Series will screen “G Force” at 7 p.m. Thursday at the White Rock Town Hall.

Farmers Market Thursday

  Los Alamos Farmers Market will be held from 8 a.m.-noon Thursday at Fuller Lodge. In addition to food and goods that will be for sale, a canned food drive will be held. Los Alamos MainStreet is hosting the event.

Monthly meeting to be held

  The Los Alamos Genealogical Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 3 of the Mesa Public Library. The theme for this meeting will be “Common surnames and variations of surnames.”  Please bring a print out of your surnames. The public is invited. LASE Network to meet

  The Los Alamos Sustainable Energy Network will meet starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursay at the Pajarito Environmental Education Center. Join Utilities Manager John Arrowsmith and Environmental Services Manager Regina Wheeler for a presentation on turning the Los Alamos County landfill into a bright field. The presentation will be from 7-8 p.m.
